Also needed: a random password generator that guarantees high entropy, but makes passwords that are easy to enter on a mobile keyboard.

Blogged (Ted Unangst of libressl and OpenBSD):

easy mobile passwords

We already have the option to do “pronounceable” passwords on OS X, but even if it wasn’t available from the iOS version of the software (didn’t really know which category to put this in), I’d love to be able to generate that kind of back and forth motion typing with two thumbs…

Interested to hear what AgileBits folks think of this; not necessarily tedu’s implementation as such, but the idea and the interest in adding that as a feature to 1Password.

Since I’ve never done so before, I’ll take this moment to thank all of the AgileBits folks for such an amazing product, and something more, something intangible, while the software is in use, or at rest : a great feeling!

I think it is an interesting idea, and will certainly pass it along to our development team.
