Excuses for bad English, I am from the Netherlands but I shall try.

I have from anonther person on my macbook air 1 password from the apple store. He has bought your app, but everytime when there is an update I have to call him ;-)

I have deleted the app and from your website I have downloaded the Mac version of 1 password, because I want to buy a license for mac and windows.

But when I install the downloaded version the application sees the license from my the other person.

How do I get a clean install on my mac and then I want to buy the license for Mac and Windows, your bundle offer ;-)

I hope dat you understand my problem and that you can help me.

  • Hi @pjpaul1964‌,

To wipe the 1Password database clean, you'll need to delete some additional files (where it actually stores its database of passwords). We have a guide on our knowledge base that can give you the steps needed to start over. You can find the guide here : Starting Over. Pay close attention to the fact that it's slightly different to clean up after the Mac App Store version of the app compared to the version from our website. If you want to be extra sure, you can follow both sets of instructions.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Hi @Philip Paul‌,

Sorry to hear that @rickfillion‌ 's instructions didn't help. Let's try them again and make sure that you follow the instructions for both the Mac App Store and the web store versions and make sure that you reboot your Mac before proceeding to step 3. This is a very important step.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Cheers!
