1Password not syncing with icloud, likely icloud Drive issues

Hi all

I have the latest 1Password installed on my iPad Air 2 and iphone 6 (both running on ios 8.1).

For the past 2 weeks I have noticed the icloud syncing not working reliably for several apps.

When icloud syncing was working properly before, I would see the amendments/additions made on one device showing up on the other device soon after.

I could tell icloud sync not working when the amendments/additions were not updated on the other device after many hours.

This issue was not just affecting 1Password. When 1Password was not syncing with icloud properly, I noticed many other apps were also not syncing.

By setting the icloud drive to "OFF", then re-setting the ios device, and then turning the icloud drive to "ON", both devices and all apps would sync properly again. Unfortunately, this doesn't last long. Typically I would notice the icloud sync not working again after few hours.

If you look into the icloud setting under the SETTING app, you will find the CALENDARS, REMINDERS, SAFARI, NOTES and some APPLE apps not using icloud drive and simply using icloud. All these apps were syncing without issues despite of the problems I was facing. Hence, I would conclude that the issues are linked with icloud Drive.

I am not sure what AgileBits can do to help with this issue. Thought I will feedback to help your guys to see if there can be any workaround.

I am not keen to sync with Dropbox.

Have you had a chance to review our iCloud troubleshooting guide?

If the problem persists and seems to be pervasive across more apps than just 1Password we'd be happy to help you switch to WiFi sync if that would be a viable alternative for you.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ben

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I downloaded the trial version for 1password for windows and tried wifi sync already. Can be a viable option except that it will incur extra cost and require manual sync.

Would prefer to sort out or wait for agilebits / apple to sort out iCloud sync.
