Will 1PW 3 still work on Yosemite?

I am planning out all the app changes I will need to make when I uograde to Yosemite. I am now using 1PW 3 with Snow Leopard on a Mac Mini music server, using WiFi to sync with my iPad 3 (iOS 5). Will 1PW 3 even run on Yosemite, and still sync with WiFi, as before, or am I forced to upgrade to 1PW 5 on the Mac on Yosemite, and perhaps also to 1PW 5 for iOS on my iPad3? (after I upgrade to iOS 8)?

Thanks. I love your software and don't want to be left in an unexpected limbo with an OS change.

    Hi @Robert57,

We haven't tested 1Password 3 for Mac extensively on Yosemite (or 1Password 3 for iOS on iOS for that matter) but they should work just fine for you.

If you are upgrading your operating system though, I strongly recommend considering updating 1Password as well. This is not a case of "we want your money!" but rather that 1Password 5 has been designed especially for Yosemite, so it will look great (not important to some people, but completely vital to others!) and work much more smoothly.

Since you're a Wi-Fi user, you will notice some great improvements to the sync in version 5 (including automatic sync, which is pretty sweet). I do want to mention though that these big changes mean that you will not be able to sync using Wi-Fi between version 3 and version 5, so if you decide to upgrade, you'll want to upgrade on both Mac and iOS.

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions, we're here for you!
