1Password 4 + Yosemite? [OK to use 1P4+1P5 with same data file via Dropbox on Mavs and Yosemite]

Are there any known issues using 1Pass 4.x with Yosemite (10.10.x)?

I may be updating to Yosemite soon; I won't be paying for 1Password 5 though (only 13 months after buying 1Password 4, I am fine on buying more things).

I have the same question as above, except I also wonder if 1Password 5.0.2 will run under Mavericks OS X 10.9.x?

I do know that 1Password 4 starts and runs under Yosemite. I am using Dropbox sync and under Yosemite it recognized the Dropbox agile.keychain. I've been afraid to create or use any passwords with 1Password 4 under Yosemite for fear of corrupting the agile.keychain for Macs I still have running Mavericks.

Hope somebody can shed some light on the compatibility of 1Password 4 and 1Password 5 with the two different operating systems AND with each other!

I think the key point to make is that the update from 1P4 to 1P5 is free. There is thus surely no reason why you shouldn't update to 1P5—which is coded specifically to take advantage of Yosemite and to use its features.

There are graphical issues, which are resolved in the free update to 1Password 5.

1Password 5 is an automatic and free update for all 1Password 4 customers once they upgrade to Yosemite.

We have not change the .agilekeychain format since 1Password 3. If we do plan to change the format, it's not going to be affecting the agilekeychain as we're working on a brand new opvault format instead that's coming soon. We'll release more details about it when it is ready.

Total compatibility between 1Password 4 and 1Password 5 when it comes to the agilekeychain data format, even across different OS versions. It's also the same format we use for Windows, iOS, and Android as well.
