Cannot buy 5.1.1
I have 1password 3.7.2 on my Iphone6. I want to upgrade to 5.1.1. but the simplest task of buying the upgrade does not show up in a usable form. The version which is free does show up but does not permit syncing with the 3.7.2 version. Help. Paying for an upgrade should be very simple.

1Password 5 is not an upgrade for the 1Password 3 app, it is in fact a separate app, that's why you can't simply upgrade to it. The App Store does not support upgrading apps like this.
However, 1Password 5 does have a built-in support for migration from 1Password 3.7.2. Are you saying you're not able to migrate your data or you cannot buy the Pro feature?
To buy the Pro feature in 1Password 5, you can do this by opening 1Password 5, unlocking, and go to Settings > Pro Features to tap on the $9.99 button. You can find more information here: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/pro-features
