Custom Web Form Details for Dynamic INPUT boxes

Hi,

With https://ua.siteground.com/login.htm, they dynamically generate the input ID for both username and password. Is there anyway that we could use a text match or even use CSS selectors to get the right input field on the site with the custom web form details? For more complicated login forms that try to prevent brute force detection, this can be really helpful.

Thanks,

    Hi @changstein‌

Try this and let me know if it works for you.

    1. Follow the steps in Saving a Login Manually if you haven't already.
    2. Edit the Logins item and click on show web form details.
    3. Delete the entry with no ID associated with it, in each attempt that was the middle one for me.
    4. Alter the top entry to instruct 1Password that it is the username field, you do this by changing the rightmost drop down menu to the silhouette of the person.

    Before

    After

That will hopefully get the Logins item working as it should. Let me know how you get along.

It would be really nice if we could add custom web form fields: Give the form's <input> name and the desired value and have 1Password populate that as well. For example, my motorcycle insurance also asks for a policy number. 1Password will only fill in the username and password fields.

    Hi @michaelbehan,

Have you tried the steps in Saving a Login Manually in order to save a new Login item for that site? That should save the correct web form details so it can fill the login form correctly. If you still have trouble with that, please let us know.

Just so if someone else has this problem with Siteground, I can confirm that this fix works. Thank you very much.
