Confused about lastes version
On my MBP I have version 4.4.3 running Yosemite 10.10
on my new iMac I have version 3.8.22 running Maverick 10.9.5
They are not syncing anymore. My phone and ipad sync with the MBP though
Just little differences like calling it Wallet or Bank. Should I update my iMac. I use it for music and the two main apps Pro Tools 11 and Logic X Pro are finally up to speed (or so they say)
I am not having any issues on my 2009 MBP (upgraded to 8 gigs ram) with Yosemite but I am curious as to how others are doing with it

Hi @Chulio
Regardless of where you purchased 1Password 4 from, either direct from us or from the Mac App Store, your licence for 1Password 4 covers both of your machines so you can easily run 1Password 4 on both. So while we could work on syncing 1Password 3 and 1Password 4 I would say there are compelling technical reasons why moving to 1Password on your iMac would be advantageous.
The one thing to think carefully about is if you install 1Password 4 on your iMac then it will copy your vault across from the existing copy of 1Password 3. The question you want to ask yourself is do you want it to do this or would it be easier to simply sync a blank copy of 1Password 4 with your current sync method.
If you know that your synchronised data represents a full and complete set then what I'd do is I'd follow the steps in this guide for starting fresh with a new data file for 1Password 3 but stop at the end of step 6 and not open 1Password 3 again. In fact you could move 1Password 3 to your Trash at this point. You would then install 1Password 4 and follow the steps for Connecting a new Mac to a synced vault.
You'll note that the steps in removing 1Password 3 from your iMac talk about moving your keychain, not deleting it so nothing you'd be doing here is unrecoverable.
If you have any concerns or questions post back here and we'll do our best to fully answer them.

1Password for mac is working on my iMac but not on my Mac Book Pro. It says it is expired and when I click on licenses it attempts to opens a file. What File? When I request to resend the license it sends me an email with a Windows License. Over the years I have installed earlier versions of 1Password for Windows but not recently. Do I need to buy another copy?

Have you read the sticky at the top of the forum? Does it help?

Hi @Chulio
I've peeked at our records and I've sorted out the confusion. It turns out we had two records for you and the system couldn't cope. It sent out the first record which didn't contain the information you were looking for. I've merged the records and had the system send you all three licences again so you should have an email from us. Sorry about that!
Let us know if you have any problems with installing the licence file now (a link to download it will be in the email).
