Secondary vault seems to be corrupted
I wanted to archive a few passwords that I haven't used in the past 5 years. Discussion forums suggested either creating an archive folder or creating a secondary vault to store archived passwords. I chose to create a second vault called "Archived" and move my unused passwords into it. This configuration worked fine for a few months but now it appears that 1Password has corrupted (or is incorrectly reading) the Archived vault... in short, it does not show my archived passwords. I am not sure how to correct the problem.
My configuration:
- I use Dropbox for syncing
- I have multiple computers running OS X Yosemite 10.10. Dropbox version 5.0.2 from Mac App Store is installed.
- I have 2 iPhones & 2 iPads running iOS 8.1
My vaults:
- "Primary" has 267 passwords. File size is 23.7 MB. No problems with this fortunately!
- "Archived" SHOULD have only a single password in it, but it is showing 268 passwords. File size is 903 KB.
I think the problem is that my Archived vault is actually showing my Primary vault passwords + my Archived vault passwords. All my computers and all of my iOS devices have the same issue.
Is there anything I can do to get my Archived vault back to showing the single password that I put in it?

EDIT: unordered lists did not show correctly in original post. Should look like this.

Hi @jonswaff
- You say you're using Dropbox for syncing, is that for both vaults? (vaults have to be set up separately for syncing).
- Do you happen to remember the single item that should be in just your Archived vault?
If the answer to both is yes I'd probably suggest disabling syncing for the Archived folder on all devices, deleting just that keychain and then on a single machine clear up the Archived vault.
So assuming you know the single item you want to keep. You could use Edit > Select All (keyboard shortcut ⌘A) and then deselect just the one you want to by holding down the ⌘ key while left clicking on it. Then right click and select Move to Trash to shift all of these unwanted items to the Trash. You can then empty the trash either via 1Password > Empty Trash or right clicking on the Trash icon in the bottom left hand corner and selecting Empty Trash.
If you're not bothered about syncing Archived then you're done. If you wish to keep Archived synchronised I'd probably recommend deleting the vault completely on all the other devices and re-adding the new, clean vault using the steps you must already know.
I don't know how this is happened. I know there is a way to copy everything from one vault to another, at least within 1Password for Mac but I'd think you'd remember doing so.
If I've been too brief in any of those steps or you have any questions please post back here and we can go into more depth until you're happy.

Answer to both is yes. I'll just go back to using one vault.
Thanks!

Hi @jonswaff I'm sorry this hasn't worked out for you on this occasion. I use multiple vaults myself, find them pretty useful and I haven't had any issues of data integrity. So I'd hope that if you were to try them out again you come away with a better experience.
