Hello,

I use 1 Password (5.1.2) on iOS 8.1 and I bought the Pro Features and everything was OK. Then I decided to refund it. Now I want to use it again and bought it again and I can't avtivate the pro features. Restore them seems to work, but it don't unlook them. I can see, that the new purchase does't cost anything, it's for free. But Apple says, that I have to talk with the developer. Please help me, uninstalling and installing from the App Store doesn't solve the problem.

    Hi @André Bohnen,

    Did you run into any problems trying to re-purchase the Pro Features? We've heard from some customers that they were unable to do that after getting a refund from Apple for the original Pro Features purchase.

    If the in-app purchase definitely worked, but Pro Features are not activating, please make sure you're following these steps:

    • Make sure you're signed into the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase Pro Features in 1Password 5 for iOS.
    • Open 1Password 5 and go to Settings > Pro Features.
    • Tap Restore Purchase.
    • Confirm that you’d like to restore, and the Pro Features should start downloading and be available shortly.

    To check if Pro Features are available, look at the options at the bottom of 1Password. If you have an Organize tab, then Pro Features are activated.

    Does this help? Let us know if you still have trouble with that.

    I have still problems with that. All steps checked. Tried purchasing and restore purchase, both show OK. Re-entering Setting / Pro Features is reset then. Tried another device with no 1password installation yet (same Apple-ID, same behaviour).

    Hi @André Bohnen,

    Can you try restarting your iOS device and see if that will help? It might be a cache issue with the App Store. It's difficult to know what's going on since we don't have any powers at the App Store to know what happened, only Apple can tell you.

    Did you get any email from iTunes confirming your new purchase of the 1Password Pro purchase? Your AppleID might still be showing it as refunded and not paid. If you did not get any email from iTunes, please contact iTunes support team again and ask them to confirm the purchase, or take it off your account to let you purchase 1Password again.

    Restarting doesn't solve the problem. Apple can't help me (they can't confirm it again or take it off from my account, after it is refunded). There is no email confirming the new purchase. "Report a Problem"-Website from Apple tells me, that every new purchase from the pro features is free. Apple tells me, I should try the following: Logout from the App Store on the device and login again during the new purchase. That doesn't work as well, because the app or apple recognizes, that it is bought already. Please help me, I will use 1Password on all my devices (Mac, Windows, iOS), but not, if I can use the pro features.

    I mean: But not, if I can't use the pro features. Apple told me, that they contacted you to solve the problem.

  • Good morning André, and sorry for the trouble you're having with the Pro features in 1Password for iOS. I'd love to see what's going on under the hood with your 1Password installation. Could you try enabling the pro features again and then send in a diagnostic report?     I'm terribly sorry for the trouble you're running into. Trust me, we feel your frustration. It appears that because your purchase was refunded that it's now stuck in limbo when you attempt to purchase it again. I have an idea of how to fix this, but I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to implement it.

    Hello, I downloaded your great app when you had the promotion to get for free. I changed phones and redownloaded it from the app store but it will not unlock the pro features as you can see from the screenshot. After I click restoring purchases it just cycles continuously. Is there another way to unlock the pro features from the free pro version i got? Thank you for your help.

    I downloaded your great app when you had the promotion to get for free.

    Are you referring to 1Password 5 for iOS which we released in mid-September? If so, that's always a free download, and offers free basic features. We haven't had a promotion for free Pro Features in version 5.

    Did you ever purchase 1Password 4 for iOS? The Pro Features in version 5 are free if you previously bought version 4. If you never purchased 1Password 4 for iOS, you can use the core features in version 5 for free, or unlock the Pro Features with an in-app purchase. We have more information in our Pro Features FAQ.

    If you are sure you previously purchased 1Password 4 for iOS, try restarting your iPhone to see if it helps (hold down the power button for a few seconds and "slide to power off", then turn it back on again).

    A few questions:

    1. Did you install 1Password from the App Store on your iOS device or from iTunes?
    2. Did you ever request a refund for 1Password in the past from the iTunes store?

    Hello @MrRooni, did you change anything in the current beta? I can buy the pro features now and the stay activated. THANKS! But there is a problem during the purchase, if TouchID for purchases is activated.
