1Password 5.1.2 and Dropbox sync issue
I'm one of the people for whom syncing was silently turned off with one of the iOS updates, and fortunately I saw the notification of that in the latest update announcement. I've never activated the new iCloud -- I've always synced with Dropbox. When I went in to manually start syncing again, it found my vault on Dropbox, but when I choose it, it first gives me a message that says, "Vault Mismatch: It appears that the data in the Primary vault is different from the vault you selected in Dropbox. We recommend that you do not merge these vaults." When I click on "More info," it tells me that my iPhone vault is 99.9% similar -- so clearly the correct vault, I only have one -- and gives me the chance to "Merge these vaults anyway."
I don't want to choose merge if there's a chance I'm going to end up with duplicates of all 700 items! And some items will be correct only on my iPhone vault and some only correct on the Dropbox vault because I've entered data from both the iPhone and my Mac, so I don't want a solution that involves wiping out either one and start again. If those few items get duplicated I can live with correcting those, but I don't want all 700 duplicated.
Can I safely merge?

Hi Julie,
I understand your concerns about merging these two vaults. You can safely merge them as during the merge we will check if the items exist already and update the data instead of creating a duplicate. However it is always a good idea to backup your data before merging.
On iOS you can do this in 1Password by tapping on Settings > Advanced and then tap on 'Create Backup'.
On the Mac you can click on the File menu, select Backup and then click on 'Backup Now'.
