1Password opens at logon, I put my password in but it locks straight away
Hi all,
I'm running Yosemite on my MBP and 1P has been fine.
I've always had it set to open a login, at which point I enter my Master Password and carry on, however now, I put the password, it opens for about a second and then locks again.
All help welcome.

Hi @neilc,
That sounds really bizarre. Can you elaborate on what you're seeing? Does the same thing happen if you manually launch the 1Password main app and unlock it? Does it lock itself automatically right away? Are we literally talking seconds, or just a few minutes? If it's seconds, and you're not doing anything explicit to lock it, then I'd say that this sounds like a bug. If you trigger the issue, then get us a Diagnostics Report by following the instructions on this page, we can get a better idea of what's going on and may be able to help you.
If you send us a Diagnostics Report, please include a link to this forum thread so that we can connect the dots and know what we're looking for in there.
The one thing I can think of is just to make sure that you only have 1 version of 1Password running. If you have two minis running at once (they won't both necessarily be visible in the menu bar) then one of them can have decided that you haven't been using it, and could be broadcasting the message that tells the app to lock due to inactivity. Simply run a spotlight search for 1Password and make sure only a single app shows up. If more than one shows up, delete the older one, empty the trash, and reboot.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Rick

So, firstly, apologies for the delayed reply.
Essentially, when I open up 1P and enter my password, I can see my list of passwords for about a second and then the app locks again and I'm back at the Master Password screen.

That is very unusual.
I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac:
https://guides.agilebits.com/kb/1password4/en/topic/diagnostics-report#mac4Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

Hi @neilc
I see somebody is already in contact with you. To eliminate any confusion I'm going to close this thread and keep the troubleshooting in email now. Hopefully the diagnostic reports lead to a speedy resolution.
