Disappointed in Pro Features

I purchased the Pro Features for my iPhone and I had assumed that for $10.77 that this would be also applied to my iPad app as well. These Pro Features seemed to be nothing more than additional templates & categories, not really worth $10.77 maybe $2.99 . I wish this was universal app or provide a discount when purchasing the app for the Mac. I think a little more honest disclosure about your Pro Features on iTunes would go a long way.

It will; if you are logged into the same Apple ID on both.

You may need to select 'restore purchases' on the iPad.

We feel the $9.99 we charge is fair, but thank you for the feedback.

What sort of additional information would you like to see?

It's not clear to me whether the Pro features are worth the price, but I was happy to pay to support AgileBits.

But the program itself was a paid program until a few weeks ago. AgileBits decided to make the basic program free, and to charge for additional features. So the whole things is still a bargain.

  • Thanks for the feedback, @danco!

I just bought the pro version of 1password because it would support attachments. Attachments was the only reason to go Pro. Not finding the functionality I started reading the forum and read IT IS NOT SUPPORTED ! I am really annoyed about this. This is the first time someone ripped me of in the AppStore. You can imagine how I feel now paying this huge price for something that even isn't there

  • Hi @johannessmits‌

Attachment viewing is supported with the Pro features. They are not supported without them. Thanks!

it is my own stupidity I of course but seriously what use has viewing if you can't attach attachments. Yeah, probably buy another licence for another platform

  • Yes, of course it is most useful for folks who have 1Password on their Mac or Windows PC, at the moment. We are looking into adding the ability to attach files directly from iOS as well.

bwoodruff, I agree with those above that $9.99 for the additional features is excessive. I think $4.99 would be fair. This is considering that $35 seems quite expensive for the program as a whole, especially if we have to pay for the app on top of it. I don't mind paying a bit more for a good value, if all the costs are up front. However, I was very disappointed to find that the App Store was misleading in that it didn't show in any way that full functionality required an additional $9.99. I would have taken that into account in my assessment of the overall value of the app. The lack of transparency borders on being unethical and dishonest, if it is intentional. If it is not intentional, please intentionally show the in-app purchase on the App Store and mention the additional cost in the description.

    Thank you!

The iOS app was previously priced at $17.99

The Mac application was priced at $49.99

Even at that price point 1Password was one of the top selling products in the App Stores. We feel this new pricing scheme is fair, but we appreciate the feedback.

We list our in-app purchases in the same manner as all other iOS apps:

We also spell out the features offered by the in-app purchase in the description of the app:

I will be happy to pass the feedback along to our developers though, and we'll be sure to take it into consideration for the future.

    Thanks!
