1P menu icon
Do I have to launch the full 1P app on my MacBook Pro/OS X 10.10 to get the 1P icon on the menu bar?
If I launch 1P from Safari 8.0, instead of opening the full app from the doc, the menu bar icon does not appear. This is quite inconvenient when using sites such as Barnes & Noble that spawn a popup for login.
Also, I notice that when I use multiple desktops on my Macbook Pro, the 1P icon will appear on some screens' menu but not on others.
I checked the 1P Safari extension and notice that it is for 1P 4.2.5, and that there is no more current extension.
Thanks for your advice.

Hi @SoThere
Can I ask you to check the state of a couple of settings for me please. If you go into 1Password's preferences and in the General tab, are the two settings for 1Password mini ticked? If they are then you shouldn't need to launch 1Password for the extension to work. If the top box is unchecked then yes, 1Password mini (required for the extension to work) will only run if 1Password is running. This is normally checked by default but maybe in your instance it isn't?
Let us know how you get along.

Thanks for the helpful and quick reply. Both items for 1P mini were checked.

At this point, the 1P icon displays on the menu. Oddly, it will appear seemingly randomly on the menu bars of some of the five Mac screens but not others; then, at times, it will disappear completely from the menu bars. I just updated to OS X 10.10.1.

Hi @SoThere
Is the bug reproducible after a reboot?
If it is I'd like you to open 1Password and quit it using the ⌃⌘Q keyboard shortcut, this will quit both 1Password and 1Password mini. Then drag just the program to your Trash. Reboot once more and download a fresh copy of 1Password from wherever you purchased it, either from Apple's App Store or our site.
If the problem still persists I think we may need a diagnostic report. What would be ideal is if you can reproduce the problem and take a screen shot (you can use ⇧⌘3 to save a file to your Desktop) and then follow the following instructions.
I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac.
Then attach the entire file and the screenshot to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the helpful post. At this point, things seems to be working correctly (Yosemite 10.10.1 update, perhaps?). I'll post/provide the information requested if the issue occurs again. I truly appreciate your advice and recommendations. Thanks again.

Hi @SoThere,
Good to hear that things are working now. Like @littlebobbytables mentioned, we'd love diagnostics reports, or crash reports (you should get prompted to send those upon next relaunch of the app if it finds any) if possible. If there's an issue there we'd love to get it fixed.
