No iCloud sync option appears in preferences

I have just bought a license and upgraded to 1Password 5. I want to sync across my Mac and iOS devices, but when I go into Preferences on my Mac app, there is no "sync with iCloud" option:

I troubleshooted and made sure that iCloud drive is enabled on my laptop and devices, but still no dice. Please help!

Did you buy direct from AgileBits rather than from the Mac App Store? See this FAQ at the top of the forum.
