Trial Expired Cannot get License into Program
I followed the instructions and have my Name and key numbers. When I go to License - and then hit Add License it sends me to a downloads file but there is no place to copy and paste my license. I have been working on this simple issue for well over 2 hours and am being driven crazy. Please help.

I'm not sure what you mean by "key numbers" but that sounds like a version 3 licence to me. Are you quite sure you bought a 1P4 or 1P5 licence? The upgrade from 1P3 was not free so you will have needed a new licence to run 1P4 or 1P5 once the trial expired. (Note that 1P4 was rather lenient about trial expiry so you could have run it for quite a long time before receiving any warning. Indeed you might receive the warning only when upgrading to 1P5.)

Am I in the same boat? I purchased a copy of "1Password Pro, v3.6.5 (4+)" via the App Store - and on the prompt, I upgraded to v5. It now says I am on a 30 day trial (and of course I don't have a license key).
Does this mean I will need to purchase another copy of 1Password 5 from the App Store?

If you purchased from the App Store and upgraded through the App Store, there shouldn't be a trial period. `I wonder if your "upgrade" was actually from AgileBit's own store.
At one point the App Store version 3 came with free upgrade to version 4 (and that comes with free upgrade to version 5).
It occurs to me that if you purchased 1Password PRO that probably means a version for iPhone/iPad, as I don't believe the Mac version was ever named Pro. In which case you might now have a version 5 for Mac which will need purchasing.

@TKoplan Have you had any success or are you still in need of assistance?

1Password is available on multiple platforms e.g. Mac, iOS, Windows etc. but out licence is per platform i.e. a licence purchased for iOS won't cover you for a copy on a Mac.
Apple's naming conventions don't help in matters like these. There is the iTunes store where you can buy iOS apps and even do so directly from the App Store app on an iOS device. From here you can purchase 1Password for iOS.
They also have the Mac App Store and you can buy Mac apps from here. It too is called the App Store on your Mac. In here you can purchase 1Password for Mac.
So if you've purchased 1Password for iOS and you haven't purchased a copy of 1Password for Mac that would explain the Trial Expired message. In this instance you'd need to do so from either Apple's MAS or direct from out store.
If you have purchased 1Password for Mac then our announcement on Trial Expired notice in 1Password 5 for Mac? will cover the various states and solutions.
If you need any more help please let us know.
