Battery usage
Currently using the latest version on an iPhone 6 (8.1). I am using Dropbox for sync.
I've noticed recently that 1password is consistently at the top of my battery usage section. Using anywhere from 15- 30%. I find this odd because I rarely make changes to my vault. Every once in a while I'll add something to a note or attach a document, but 90% of the time it stays the same.
This got me to notice that 1password starts to sync every time I open the application. And there doesn't seem to be a way to change this behavior without disabling sync altogether. Because I spend a lot of time IN 1password - checking documents, etc and because I go in and out often I fee like I'm burning the battery unnecessarily.
I tried to search around to see if there wasn't a setting I was missing but I'd certainly like to make a suggest for manual sync. At least then I could leave it on manual and hit the sync button the rare chance I do make some change and if I am going to be making many changes at once I could always turn the manual option off temporarily.
Just a few thoughts. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I'd really rather not have to disable sync entirely if I don't have to.

Hi @krabotfao
Could you please try turning off Background App Refresh for 1Password and see if that helps?
- Settings > General > Background App Refresh

Absolutely. Feel silly for not trying that already. Let me see how that changes the battery life. Still looks like it's syncing every time.

That is intentional. It needs to sync to see if there are any changes. If there are none, the sync will be brief. If there are some, it will take longer, depending on how much data has changed.
