Downloadig new version from iTunes
iTunes app store shows that I have purchased the app already from iTunes store and only downloads an version of 1-Password 4 which updates to version 4.4.3. No version of just "1 Password will download.
I have followed the "Migrating to the Mac App Store Version but this wont get me the new version because my original version came from the Mac App Store.
Where do I go from here.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Does the version you downloaded work? If you're not running OS X Yosemite 1P4 is the version the app store will offer. You have to be running Yosemite to use 1P5.
Does that answer your question?

Hi @Dennis2545
Just to avoid any confusion. Apple have two stores, they have the iTunes store where you can purchase iOS apps (where we have one) and on the iOS device there is an App Store app for purchasing, downloading etc. Apple also have the Mac App Store where you can purchase 1Password for Mac and you do this via a program also called App Store that resides in
/Applications/
. So we're in both stores, both called App Store but a licence in one does not cover you running 1Password on the other - our licences are per platform. So explanation aside. If you've purchased 1Password for Mac via Apple's Mac App Store it should offer you any compatible updates. As Stephen_C explained, if you're running Mavericks or Mountain Lion then you won't see an update to 1Password 5 as it requires Yosemite. Similarly for 1Password for iOS, version 5 requires iOS 8 and it would offer the update if that's what you're running.
If I've misunderstood anything please post back here.

Thanks the Mac App Store was the solution to the problem, I had not picked up on the two store situation. All OK now Thanks again

Glad to hear you're up and running now. Yeah, Apple's naming conventions sometimes don't aid in clarity
