'resend license' does not send correct information
I'm licensed for V5. it's running on a few of my machines. i tried to install it on my new macbookpro today and when I try to enter the license it wants a special file. I click to have the file resent to me, what it sends me is not the special file but backdated v3, v4 license information. I can give you my receipt and license codes for my v5 purchase via email. I purchased 1password from agilebits store. pls advise.

The version 4 licence is what you need. A version 4 licence will work to licence version 5.

I have all my licenses in txt files. v5 of 1password requires a special file sent from agilebits, when I click to have my file sent, it does not send me my v5 license correct format file, it sends my v3 license information. so i have no way of manually pasting any license information from my v5 purchasee. 1password v5 wants this special file format and does NOT allow you to manually paste license codes.

Sorry, I was confused because in your original post you said:
what it sends me is not the special file but backdated v3, v4 license information.
What "v4 license information" were you sent? There is no "key" or "text" for a version 4 licence. Are you quite sure you paid for the upgrade from version 3 to version 4? (Sorry to ask, but it's important to check!) How did you licence 1P5 on your other machines?

Hi @Tim Iannone
If you're using the same email address as you use here in the forums you should have been sent information regarding two licences. The older purchase would have involved a licence key and the second purchase should have sent you a link. We have had some trouble with Gmail addresses when viewed from Google's web interface, this could be the issue you're having.
I've emailed you, let us know here if that works out.

Sorry, the v4 comment was in error. I have licenses in text format for v3 and v5. my receipt for the purchase of v5 from the agilebits store looks like this, below. I did not recieve the file that v5 now wants to install on this mbp.
MACKey: 1PWB-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxx-xxxxxx
Download: https://agilebits.com/downloads
Register:Select Help > Enter License Key…, and enter the above key.
now, this above line 'enter the above key', is NONEXISTENT, there is NO option in v5 to do this. so i have a v5 license and no way to enter it. v5 wants a special file.
Thanks,

Same here,
today i get the "Trial time expired" message. No idea why.
I reorder the licence and got an Mail with two "One Password 3 for Mac " Serial Numbers.
One starts with "1PW2"..."
The other with "1PW3...".
I guess i update my 1Password, maybe thats why i got two serials. (From 3 to 4, maybe? It was so long ago)
But i still miss the Licence File that i need and i am not sure why this stupid massage with the "Trial Time" pop up after Using 1Password for many years...Best regards
Holger

Glad it worked.

@Holger Saß Try using the resend licence link again https://agilebits.com/licenses/resend we had multiple entries for you, that might have thrown the system.
Let me know how you get along.

Thank you and best regards

That would be correct Holger, we only email a link to the licence file, not the file itself.
Glad to hear you're up and running again.
As both of you are rocking fully licensed copies of 1Password again I'm going to go ahead and close this.
