Delete Primary Vault

Hi @RJRCO,
There's no option to delete the Primary vault, but there are a couple workarounds to get 1Password set up the way you want. First, to make sure we give you the right steps, can you give us some more details about your setup:
- Do you have any data in the Primary vault that you need to keep?
- Is the Primary vault currently syncing? If so, what sync method is it using?
- Does your secondary vault contain all your 1Password data that you want to keep?
- Is the secondary vault currently syncing with Dropbox?
- Do you have any other vaults, or just the two you mentioned?
- Do you sync either vault to 1Password on other devices/computers?
Thanks!

My issue is the same as RJRCO. I want to delete my Primary vault and use only the Secondary vault. Details...
- There is no data in the Primary vault that I want to keep.
- The Primary vault is not syncing.
- The Secondary vault contains all my 1Password data that I wish to keep.
- The Secondary Vault is syncing with Dropbox.
- Previously, I would sync the Primary vault with my iMac via wi-fi.
Thanks!

All the Marlou comments concur with mine. Both vaults are syncing with Dropbox. My 1PW vault contains everything I want to keep as it includes everything that is in the Primary vault, plus updates and some new logins.I have 1PW for windows on my PC as well.
Please provide me precise instructions on how to delete the primary vault, and find and delete all of the Primary vault data in Dropbox. Thank you. Sorry for the late reply, but I did not get a notice that a reply had been posted. Do you need my email?0 -
What you'll need to do is reset the entire 1Password app on your iOS device, then set up a new Primary vault by syncing with the correct vault in Dropbox (i.e. the one that currently syncs with your secondary vault). First, I highly recommend saving a backup to your computer by following the steps here.
When you're ready, start by making sure your secondary vault is synced so you won't lose any data:
- Open 1Password and go to Settings > Vaults.
- Tap the i icon next to the vault you want to keep (in your cases, the secondary vault).
- Tap Sync Now and allow the sync to complete.
Once you sync the vault, you can reset the 1Password app:
- Open 1Password and go to Settings.
- Scroll down and go to Advanced.
- Tap Erase Data and Settings, then confirm you want to do that.
- When you see the message confirming the data is deleted, tap Quit.
- Restart your device (hold down the power button for a few seconds and "slide to power off", then turn it back on again).
- Open 1Password and select Sync existing vault, then Sync with Dropbox.
- When asked to choose a vault from Dropbox, choose the one you want to make the Primary vault.
If you have any questions about that, please let us know, thanks! :)

Thanks seems like everything worked fine. By the way, in my Dropbox folder(root) there is a file .ws.agile.1Password.settings
What is this file for? Delete it?
Thanks again0 -
Hi @RJRCO,
Glad to hear that helped! :)
The .ws.agile.1Password.settings file was used by older versions of 1Password in order to find the location of your keychain file. If you're only using 1Password for iOS version 4.5 or higher, and 1Password for Windows version 4 or higher, you don't need that file and can delete it, although 1Password may re-create it again. It won't cause any problems so you might want to simply leave it there.
