Sync error using DropBox
On my iPod 4 (running 1Password 4.3.2), using Dropbox as a syncing engine, I am getting an error that looks to indicate some sort of capacity error. The message shown is:
Failed to list data folder in Dropbox App Error Code: 702 Dropbox Error Code: -1009 The operation couldnt be completed (NSURLErrorDomain error: -1009) { "file_limit" = 25000; hash = ... long hex string ; path = "/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain/data/default/"; }
When I look in my dropbox folder on my PC, the top-level directory /1Password does not appear to be there, but /1Password.agilekeychain is and when I look inside it, Windows claims there are 713 files in 12 folders. This suggests that file_limit is not a count.
(I realise that an iPod 4 is a relatively old device, but I do rely on it to always be in my pocket, even if my Mac/iPad are elsewhere)
Synching using iCloud seems to be ok, but I'd prefer to use Dropbox since that means I can always recover via my PC if anything goes catastrophically wrong on iCloud - which isn't as far fetched as it seems...

Hi Jeff,
did you at some point move your 1Password data to another folder within Dropbox?
I'd suggest to backup your data by going to Settings > Advanced > Create Backup, then downloading this backup via iTunes. Afterwards disable your sync (Settings > Sync > Sync Service > Disable Sync) and then re-enable it again choosing the right agilekeychain file within Dropbox.

No, I have not moved my Dropbox files around, but I have found the problem.
It turns out that they have changed the Wifi password here in the office, and I had not noticed that I was, in fact, not connected to the network.
What confused me was that the settings panel that showed the Dropbox Sync error also showed that iCloud Sync had succeeded at exactly the same time!?!
So, I think my problem is not that Dropbox was failing, it is that iCloud was failing but reporting a success.
When I got home, everything synced up fine - this morning in the office, I have replicated the error. Dropbox reports (correctly) that it can't sync - iCloud claims to have synced 5 seconds ago, which it cannot possibly have done.
(I realise that having Dropbox and iCloud sync enabled at the same time is a bit pointless, especially when I watched it this morning having a syncing race, where the two seemed to alternate many times until they settled into equilibrium. I think I'll be disconnecting the iCloud sync anyway, but at some point in the past, it seemed like it might have been the only option?)

Hi @Jeff Laing
If 1Password was unable to access the network, it could explain the error. :)
I do recommend disabling the iCloud sync. Having multiple sync solutions enabled is actually an option that we ended up removing in later updates of 1Password 4, since having more than one sync enabled at a time had a tendency to cause some conflicts.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to get everything synced up with Dropbox. I hope that everything works smoothly for you from now on, but we're here to help if you have any further questions or concerns.
