I've been working with Dropbox Support to find out why I cannot login to their site. 3rd day now and I finally counted the dots in the Dropbox password field. 19 dots and 20 character password?

Reset email from Dropbox.
Open 1Password 5.app and edit Dropbox's entry generating a new password, Click Save.
Cut and Paste new password into Dropbox and I'm in.
Logout and cannot Login.
Safari Extension and the app password are identical, neither one works.
-> Manually cut and paste password from 1Password 5.app's Dropbox entry and manually type email and I'm in to Dropbox.

    Hi @stevew,

I'm sorry this has been a problem for you! If I understand, it sounds like you can log into Dropbox.com if you copy & paste your password from the 1Password app? If so, please try manually saving a new Login for that site by following the steps here: Saving a Login manually

Does the new Login item for Dropbox.com work correctly?

Ive run into a similar situation when copying 1-Password 4-4-2 passwords into Quicken 2013 running on the Mac under Parallels Desktop. The last letter of the password is dropped when copied into Quicken. (It doesn't help that Quicken doesn't actually display the password being entered -- just stars.) Once I figured out what was happening, I made a mental note to manually add that final character in Quicken before "save" of the password. It's not a big problem, since it only has to be done when setting up a new financial account for transaction downloads, but I did manage to lock myself out of a couple of accounts.

Thanks Drew_AG. Got back here late and just saved a new Dropbox login, as per your instructions. It works.

desperotto, Thanks for your idea. I tried that the other day thinking that a leading or trailing character was missing, but it did not work.

    Hi @‌desperotto,

I would suggest using Drew's suggestion above and re-saving a new Login.
