Cannot order favorites in 4.4.3 on Mac

At some point, not sure when, I lost the ability to order my favorites. I have 18 items marked as favorites, and I used to be able to order them by dragging and dropping. Now when I drag and drop nothing happens. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks!

    Hi @tin_can‌,

Thanks for taking the time to write to us :+1:

I can confirm that I am experiencing the same issue under Yosemite 10.10.2 DP. My colleagues, however, can still order their favourites in 1Password 5
    under Yosemite 10.10.1.

I just create an issue in our bug tracker to track it down. Can you please tell me whether you are using Yosemite 10.10.2 or 10.10.1?

    Cheers!

    I am using Mavericks 10.9.5.

    Thanks for the follow-up!

    Hi @tin_can‌

Very odd indeed. When you say "nothing happens" can you describe what you see please. It's working for me so what I observe is if I click and hold an item to drag it, I get a faded view of the text and image and a blue line indicating where it will be placed if I let go. When I let go that's where it will move to. Now does it look like it should move an item and it isn't or are you getting none of the visual indicators at all that you're attempted to move an item?

Thanks for helping us pin this down. I assume of course dragging is working elsewhere in your system e.g. dragging files in Finder, dragging images from Safari

Yes, it looks like it should move an item, but then nothing happens. I do get the visual indicators as you describe, but the actual change to order never happens.

    Hi @tin_can

All I can think to suggest at this moment is to see what happens if you trash this copy of the 1Password application and download a fresh one.

    1. Quit both 1Password and 1Password mini. You can do this with the keyboard shortcut ⌃⌘Q when 1Password is open (it doesn't have to be unlocked).
    2. Drag the 1Password application from your /Applications/ folder to the Trash.
    3. Reboot your Mac.
    4. Download 1Password again from our AgileBits Download page. As you're a Mavericks user you want the legacy section at the bottom of the page.

It's a bit of a desperate move but it definitely won't harm your vault as long as you don't use any app cleaner applications. I am confused as to why it works for me on my Mavericks machine.

I'm not ready to reinstall yet. Agilebits confirmed this to be an issues and, since it is only an inconvenience at this point, I'm going to wait until they issue a patch. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

    Hi @tin_can,

Sadly any fixes going forward will be in the version 5 branch which as a Mavericks user you'll be unable to benefit from at the moment. While I did use the word desperate in my previous post it wasn't in reference to the degree of complexity or risk of the suggestion. 'Reinstallation' for many OS X applications is as simple as deleting the application and copying a freshly downloaded version. We don't make use of any installer so no other files elsewhere to worry about. The only issue we've really ever come across is overzealous app cleaners deciding (sometimes asking at least) if you want to delete those support files. Users don't realise until too late that those support files include your vault. There is no inbuilt app cleaner in OS X though so unless you've installed one there won't be one present.
