  • and manually send - that helps for safari and chrome.

but safari is my favorite ...

    Hi @Martin59,

Please try Saving a New Login Manually. This should help, but if now, please let us know the version numbers of 1Password and your browsers so that we can better figure out where things are getting tangled up!

    tried this before, didn't help.

    1password 5.0.2 (502006)

    Safari Version 8.0 (10600.1.25.1)

    chrome Version 39.0.2171.71 (64-bit)

login with Firefox works perfectly; v 30.0 and - just updated - 34.0 also

    Hey @Martin59‌,

Could you let me know if your Login for this page looks the same as the one that Alex shows above?

It would also be helpful to know your version information for the browser, 1Password and the 1Password browser extension, and if disabling auto-submit helps.

because Megan reads, too: in english :-)

new manually created 1password entry looks identical to AlexHoffmann's (of course except the endless # of digits in the link)

    version #
    browser and 1password see above
    browser ext. safari v 4.2.5

1password fills in both "benutzername" and "password" but then the entry in "Password" disappears, cursor pops back to field "benutzername" and activates the entry filled in by 1password in "benutzername"

enabling "never send" and manually send after filling with 1password works perfectly.

    Hi @Martin59‌

So while not a perfect solution, it sounds like you have an acceptable workaround for the oddities of this site?

sure. also manually filling in is an acceptable workaround :-)

I do not get the idea behind your post. shouldn't I mention my prob here in the forum because I have a workaround?

    the point is:
it worked before with safari -
chrome and firefox still work perfect

1password is for comfort / automatically function, and I am missing it right now.

@Martin59‌ No, I was trying to figure out if you were at a point where you were happy or not, that's why I phrased it as a question.

So just to confirm, Chrome and Firefox currently work as expected but Safari only works if you set it to Never submit?

  • This baffles me. Every time I enter the credentials using OPM5 and hit submit, it doesn't look like the field is being emptied.

Could you please describe each step in detail? I'd also be grateful if you could post a screenshot of the login item here.
Please make sure to obscure your personal details and have the web form details (Webformulardetails) visible.

    Thanks

sorry I am not able to post a jpg or an png using "drop image/file" or choose it with finder (?!)

    maybe it is important
1password fills in both credentials, automatically sends the page
the password disappears while/after safari builds up the next pages (growing blue line)

    I also

    • tried another Mac
    • emptied the cache
    • also safari 8.0.2 makes no difference

    Hi @Martin59,

I'm sorry you're still having trouble with that! We're not quite sure why it isn't working for you, so I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac: https://guides.agilebits.com/kb/1password4/en/topic/diagnostics-report#mac4

Once you create that, please attach the entire zip file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it.  :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

just emailed 'Diagnostics Report' as requested. the created email address was 'support@agilebits.com' (?)

    cc to 'support+forum@agilebits.com'

thanks for your help. pls remember the problem does NOT occur with Firefox and Chrome so it is a 'Safari problem' (at least working together with 1password)

    Hi @Martin59,

I took a look in our system, but I was unable to find an email from the address associated with your forum account. If you haven't received a reply to that email yet and want to make sure we've received it, please send me a private message with the email address you used to send it, and I'll be happy to track it down and ensure that it gets answered as soon as possible. Thanks!

    Hi @Martin59,

Thanks for letting me know the email address you used! We've received your email and Diagnostics Report, and someone from the support team will get back to you as soon as possible with some further information. We'll keep the conversation going directly via email to avoid complicating things between here and there.

  • With @Martin59‌'s help we figured out that the problem only exists if you're using the Mac App Store version of 1Password 5 for Mac.
Please see this guide article for installation instructions for a set of scripts that will fix the issue for the Comdirect site and others.
