1Password/3 Family Bundle upgrade path

I find it difficult to imagine that there is actually no email access for existing customers, especially when having issues upgrading.

And so, having Wendy's email bounce and Dave Teare's auto-disassociation-reply prove an inability to read the subject line (below), I have joined this respectful community to inquire how to upgrade our Family Bundle (and adding Knox).

    If you have a current 1Password license key then there is no need to buy a family license. In fact the family license no longer exists. The team made the decision to bring the in house licensing model in line with the one on the Mac App Store. A single license will now cover you on up to 6 Macs for example.

    As to Knox, I would think you would need to simply purchase that license separately.

    I'm so glad to see that @thightower was able to help you out here! I do apologize for the automated response to your newsletter reply. As Dave mentions there, a lot of users reply to the newsletter, and it has become impossible to manage on an individual basis.

    We do still offer support via email, but we've had a surge in support requests since the launch of 1Password 5 on Mac and iOS, and while we work to get the email inbox under control, we're encouraging users to post their questions here in the forums, as we are able to provide efficient support to a larger portion of our users here. Not only do we have a wonderful team of community moderators (like @thightower) but a single reply here has the ability to help a multitude of users.

    Hello. I am also longtime 1PW user for iOS, Mac and Windows, and have recommended your solution to MANY colleagues. I believe I have similar situation, though unclear if I'm eligible for discount to upgrade v3 to v4. I had purchased combo 1Password Mac + Windows upgrade in mid-2013. When I enter my license key, I get discounted option though I can't select (see attached0! I just want to upgrade to 1PW v4, as I'm still using OS X - V10.8.5 on primary MB, and iMac using Snow Leopard.

    I tried looking up the email address you used to register here in the forums but I couldn't find an entry in our records. I'm assuming you, like many, use more than one.

    If you purchased the Mac + Windows combo in mid 2013 then you should be eligible to run 1Password 4/5 already which seems right given the option to upgrade to 1Password 5 is greyed out.

    If you visit our AgileBits Support page and request your licences to be resent to you, does the resulting email contain a link to download a licence file? If it does then you're set and you can use whatever version of 1Password you want versions 3-5 (v3 uses the key, v4-5 use the licence file).

    If you don't then can you email us at support+licenses@agilebits.com please with all the relevant details:

    • Full name as used at time of purchase
    • Email address used at time of purchase
    • A link to this thread and a quick explanation of the issue.

    Once you've done that, if you were to post the ticket ID here it will allow us match up the email and this thread a lot quicker :smile:
