Require Password file for 1Password - Only being sent License Code

I need to obtain the license file and I am only being sent the license code in the email. Is there a way to download the license file for a MAC install?

    What is the last version of 1Password that you purchased? 1P3 uses a licence code but 1P4 and 1P5 use a licence file (the same file licences both 1P4 and 1P5). The upgrade from 1P3 to 1P4 was a paid upgrade.

    If you made all of your 1Password purchases on the same email address you use here in the forums and you definitely haven't purchased it from the Apple Mac App Store then Stephen_C's post applies. 1Password 4 was a paid upgrade from 1Password 3 and 1Password 5 is a free upgrade for all 1Password 4 users.

    You can use your licence key to obtain a discounted upgrade price though if you purchase via our web store. The one thing to be aware of though is if you feel that iCloud Sync is important then you would need to consider purchasing via Apple's MAS. As of the release of iOS 8 and Yosemite Apple are enforcing restrictions on what programs can access iCloud. So only programs purchased via MAS or the iTunes store can use CloudKit, Apple's new sync framework.
