1Password won't launch: fail to connect to Mini

Here is the error message:
1Password failed to connect to 1Password Mini
Please restart 1Password. If this does not help, please contact AgileBits support.
I did attempt to restart several times.

It will help people to help you if you tell us:
- your OS X version number; and
- your 1P version number.

In addition to what Stephen_C has said, when you say you've tried to restart several times were you using the Restart 1Password mini option which can be found in Help > Troubleshooting?

- OS X 10.9.5
- 1P version 4.4.3
I guess by restart I meant start, as it does open to where I could restart using the program's Help feature.

I apologise, I'm just not too sure if you're saying you have tried my suggestion. If you haven't I'd recommend it and letting us know if you are still having problems or not.
