Locked Out
Please help me with this problem. I am very frustrated with this company. I have never experienced this before with any company. Whenever I update to a higher version of the software I get locked out. I am locked out of my account even though I paid for the software and have a license. When I launch the software I am told that I have a trial version of the software. When I click on the trial button it sends me to the store to buy a license which I've already down. What do I do?

Have you read this sticky right at the top of the forum? Does it help?
However, you seem to have some other problem other than merely the "trial expired" one because that message on its own will not cause you to be "locked out" of 1Password. I'm wondering whether it's possible you might have more than one version of 1P installed on your Mac. What version(s) do you have in your Applications folder? Are you running OS X Yosemite?
Give us some more information and someone will be able to help you.

I have 1Password 5 version 5.0.2 from Agile Web Store and I am running OS X Yosemite. I have been using 1Password for quite a while; at least for two years. I recently purchased a license for my wife's PC and that is the only license I can find right now. I think that I may have upgraded my software recently to 1 Password 5 thinking that was a more recent version of the software, and it was after I did so that I began to get the trial expired notice whenever I launch it.

We need to trace your original licence, which means finding details of your original purchase of 1P for Mac. I am wondering if you might possibly have used 1P as a trial version without realising you'd not bought a licence. The sticky to which I linked contains this:
There was a bug in some previous versions of 1Password where in certain cases an unregistered copy would not expire, so it is possible that some 1Password 3 users were not prompted to update their license in 1Password 4.
If not, the key thing is clearly to unearth details of your purchase from AgileBits. If you know the email address you used you can go to this page enter your email address and have your licence re-sent to you. If you don't have that information do you have any other information which might help in tracing the original purchase?

I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling frustrated here. I did some searching, and I was able to locate a Windows license in our back office records attached to the email address that you use for your forum account. Did you by chance purchase your 1Password for Mac license using a different email address? If there are any alternate addresses that you may have used, please let me know - I'd be happy to help locate your license details for you!
