Help please. not sure if this is the right post. So my wife deleted the 1password app off here phone. It has been re installed not but it is starting up as if she is a first time user. Any way to recover the previously stored information?
THanks for the help

@hakujin3 I have created a new thread for your post as it had nothing to do with the old one. Ask your wife to force close 1P (double click on the home button and swipe up on the app) then re-start it. Does that solve the problem?

Hi @hakujin3,
If Stephen's suggestion doesn't solve the problem, can you please let us know if your wife had been using any of the sync options in 1Password (iCloud, Dropbox, Wi-Fi), if she has her 1Password data on any other devices or computers, or if she has an iCloud or iTunes backup of her iPhone? Thanks!

Hard start brings up same "welcome to 1password". New user screen. Doesn't use drop box. She does use iCloud back up. Not on any other devices.

Hi @hakujin3,
Thanks for the additional info. By default, 1Password data is stored locally on a device or computer. On iOS devices, deleting an app also deletes the data stored with that app, which is why 1Password is starting up with the welcome screen.
If your wife had been using the Dropbox or iCloud sync options in 1Password before deleting it, she could re-sync her data to 1Password from the same sync option. Similarly, if she had ever synced or backed up her 1Password data to another device or computer, there are ways to restore that to her iPhone.
If she backs up her entire iPhone by using the iCloud Backup option in the Settings app, she might be able to restore her 1Password data by restoring her entire iPhone from a backup. Please note that iCloud Backup is a feature from Apple so we don't have any control over it, and we've noticed it doesn't always seem to correctly backup & restore 1Password data. But if it's the only thing that might have a copy of your wife's 1Password data, it's probably worth trying.
Please let us know if you have more questions about that!
