I have 1Password on my iPhone running IOS8. I downloaded 1Password on my MacBook air. 1Password will not recognize Cloud info. I simply get the "I'm new to 1password"and "I've used 1password before" screen. I have paid for pro and made sure that icloud allowed 1password to store info in my IOS settings.. Why cant I get this to work?

You are presumably running 1P5 for Mac on your MacBook. Where did you buy it: from the Mac App Store (which is the version that supports iCloud sync) or direct from AgileBits (which is the version that doesn't support iCloud sync)?

I thought it worth checking that first before we get any deeper into problem diagnosis.

Sorry, clarity.. Purchased 1Password on my iPhone.. Did NOT purchase from App store on Mac. Do I have to purchase both?

The software is sold on a per-platform basis, so your download to your iPhone did not provide a license for your Mac. If you want to use it on your Mac, you'll need to buy that too. You can buy directly from the AgileBits web store or from the Mac App Store. If iCloud syncing is important to you, you must buy from Apple. Only that version can use iCloud for syncing. Both sources allow syncing via Dropbox.

    Hi @WesB,

The information from @Stephen_C and @hawkmoth is correct - it sounds like you downloaded 1Password 5 for Mac from our website (it can be downloaded and used in trial mode for free for 30 days). As mentioned, the website version doesn't have iCloud sync, although it has Dropbox and Wi-Fi sync options.

If you want to use iCloud sync, you'll need to purchase the Mac App Store version of 1Password 5 for Mac, which you can find here.

I hope this helps to clear up any confusion, but please let us know if you have more questions. :)
