Saving a perverse page
How can I save a login to this page:
https://www.dollar.com/Express/Login.aspx
- It doesn't auto-save (1Password doesn't notice when I log in "manually").
- When I manually save, 1Password picks up the "username" field from the "please send me the newsletter" section, and ignores the user-name-equivalent for login (which happens to be labelled "ExpressID"). I can't get 1P to let go of the "please spam me" field, nor to record the "actually log me in" identity field.
1Password 4.4.3 (Agile Web Store)
Safari 7.1
MacOS X 10.9.5

Try saving it as a new login. Read Saving a Login manually.

Hi @jackr
Like yourself, I found that if you followed the guide MrC linked you to that in my username field it was capturing "Enter E-mail Address" from the form but that under web form details it was storing the test ID I was playing with.
What I also found is if I manually create a new Login item just from within 1Password, so capture none of the web form details, that it worked. Now I don't have an account so can't log in myself and I have no idea what constitutes a valid idea (to know if the error messages were blocking something you're seeing) but that might be worth trying.

I found a different solution:
- Save manually, as linked by MrC
- hand-edit the entry, replacing the "username" field value with "Enter E-mail Address" (the prompt originally provided by the form).
- ensure "Section: ExpressID" is filled with your ExpressID (a number)

Good to see you found a workaround, @jackr.
If you run into any other issues, please let us know.
