WiFi Sync - Mac doesn't appear
Attempting to setup WiFi sync while at our offices. We upgraded the Mac 1Password from version 3 to 4.4.3. Purchased iOS version 5.1.2 and installed on the iPad version 8.1. We had 1Password version 3 on our iPad. When opening the new iOS app for the first time rather than loading the database from version 3 I selected the option to do a sync via WiFi. Opening WiFi sync on the Mac correctly shows the secret. Unfortunately the new iOS version will not show the Mac in its WiFi sync window even after refreshing the list, and restarting both devices. They were both on our Guest network in our offices. The wireless access point is a Unifi behind a Cisco router with no unusual internal routing rules. I've read a post about creating an ad hoc network which I'm not willing to do every time I want it to sync. Any assistance in troubleshooting this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @GoCirrus,
I'm sorry you're having trouble using Wi-Fi sync! It sounds like you've already tried rebooting your Mac and iPad. Just to make sure, do you have the Wi-Fi Sync window open in 1Password on your Mac when you try to set it up on your iPad? That window needs to be open in order for the Wi-Fi sync to work.
If your Mac still isn't listed when setting up Wi-Fi sync in 1Password for iOS, there are a couple likely causes:
This could be a firewall issue. If you have the OS X firewall on (or any third party firewall for that matter) you can try disabling it temporarily to see if that allows you to set up Wi-Fi sync.
Or, this could happen if the Mac and iPad are on different subnets of the Wi-Fi network. 1Password uses Bonjour for device discovery, and Bonjour only works on the same subnet.
If neither of those turn out to be the problem, you should try creating an ad hoc network to see if it works. You said you don't want to have to do that every time, but trying it for troubleshooting purposes might help narrow down the cause of the problem.
Please let us know how it all goes!
