Won't Sync with Dropbox
I've used 1Password with no problems for over a year now, on my Windows 7 & 8.1 desktops, IOS 8.1 iPad 4 and Android 4.4.2 phone, all synced using Dropbox. A month ago I added an iPad Air 2 on IOS 8.1. Initially it synced OK. Three weeks ago I switched on Touch ID security in 1Password. I recently noticed under Settings, Sync the last sync was 3 weeks ago. Touching "Sync Now" does not work.
Since Sync is working on all my other devices, any idea why it stopped working on my new iPad Air 2?
Thanks,
Jason Shane

Hi @JGShane,
I'm sorry you're having trouble with Dropbox sync on your new iPad Air 2!
First, please make sure you have the latest version of 1Password 5 for iOS (currently version 5.1.2) installed on that iPad. You can find the exact version on the Settings screen of 1Password, directly below the Recommend 1Password option. If you don't have 5.1.2 installed, please install it from the Updates section in the App Store.
If you have 5.1.2 installed but Dropbox sync isn't working, please try these steps:
First, make sure you have all your 1Password data synced/backed up somewhere other than your iPad. If your 1Password data is up to date in Dropbox and/or your other devices, that's fine. You can also save a backup to your computer by following the steps here: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/itunes-backups
Next, open 1Password and go to Settings.
- Scroll down and go to Advanced.
- Scroll down and tap Erase Data and Settings, then confirm you want to do that.
- When you see the message confirming the data is deleted, tap Quit.
Restart your iPad (hold down the power button for a few seconds and "slide to power off", then turn it back on again).
Reopen 1Password and choose Sync existing vault.
- Choose Sync with Dropbox and follow any additional steps to complete the setup.
Once the setup and sync are complete, check to make sure your data is there. Let us know how it all goes, and if it's still a problem, we'll take it from there. Thanks! :)

Success. Thank you.

@Drew_AG, I came here to report this same issue. There is a bug somewhere in the chain because this is not the first time I've had to erase and reconfigure with dropbox on an iOS device. This has happened at least three times to me now over the past couple of months. It's relatively new. Never had this problem since the original iPhone OS version back in the day with Dropbox sync.

Hi @jmstacey,
There was indeed a bug that could cause that to happen, but it should have been fixed in one of the last updates. However, you might need to disable & re-enable Dropbox sync one more time to get it working again. Do you remember if you've had to do that since the update for version 5.1.2?
Are you having the problem right now? If so, does it work again after disabling Dropbox sync and setting it up again?
