four iOS devices - two sync one way, two sync another
I'm running 1Password (5.0.2, Agile Web Store) on a MacBook Pro 13-inch Early 2011 with OS X 10.10.1, and syncing to four iOS devices (two are mine and two belong to my wife). All are running iOS 8.1.2 and the latest version of 1Password for iOS (which, as of this writing, is 5.1.2). The devices are listed below, and I'm specifying which two are mine because they're behaving one way and my wife's devices are behaving another.
- My devices: iPhone 6 Plus and iPad mini (2nd gen Wi-FI)
- Her devices: iPhone 5s and iPad 2
So I have a newer iPhone and a newer iPad than she does, although I'm not sure that's the root of this issue. I'm also not sure if this is some kind of a bug or just a sign that I inadvertently setup my devices slightly different than hers -- however, I've reviewed all the settings I can find and they all appear to be identical.
We sync only using Wi-Fi to 1Password on my MacBook. I have a reminder to grab all four devices every 10 days and make sure all of them are synced, which is frequently enough to keep us both reasonably updated. But when I open 1Password on my iPhone or iPad, both auto-sync immediately (assuming that 1Password is unlocked on my Mac); her two devices don't.
I've attached a side-by-side screenshot of the sync setting windows from both of our phones (my 6 on the left, her 5s on the right). These were taken on two different days which is why the item count is different, and she has her font size cranked up a notch which is why the type is so big -- but beyond those two differences, you can see how these two devices appear to be working differently. With her iPhone, I have to click Start Syncing -> Sync using Wi-Fi -> my computer name -> Sync Now, and that works although it's several clicks. With mine, by the time I even get to this Sync screen, my iPhone or iPad has usually already auto-synced, although I can tap "Sync Now" if I want to make it do it again.
I'm not sure why my devices are acting differently than hers. Is this just a limitation caused by her older hardware? Is there a setting somewhere on her devices that I need to adjust? I did look in Settings -> 1Password on both of our iPhones, and both have "Background App Refresh" enabled.
Any ideas?

Hi @bitmender
I don't know why but your wife's iOS device isn't remembering that it has been set up to sync via Wi-Fi - that's what the screen looks like when sync hasn't been set up.
- Try rebooting both of her iOS devices, see if that makes any difference
- If it doesn't then in your iOS device's settings Settings > General > About it might be worth making sure all four devices aren't using identical names. Wi-Fi Sync uses Bonjour so maybe that's messing something up. When Bonjour renaming happens it likes to add things like (2) to the end of a name and that messes things up too.
- Given your Mac has a complete copy of the vault present on the other devices, if everything else has failed it might be worth removing the 1Password app completely from her iOS devices, downloading a fresh copy from the iOS App Store app and setting up syncing again.
If none of those work do please let us know.

Apologies -- just discovered I never responded back to your reply. Yes, it turns out deleting 1Password entirely from her devices and reinstalling it did resolve the problem. Everything is working groovy now -- thanks!
