1Password (CMD + /) Shortcut not working in Safari or Chrome

I just formatted my mac and am in the process of reinstalling everything. I installed 1Password and the Safari and Chrome extensions. However, the CMD + / and CMD + / + OPTION shortcuts are not working.

I followed the instructions here and everything seems to be in order:
https://learn2.agilebits.com/1Password4/Mac/en/KB/filling-issues.html

  • I uninstalled and reinstalled the extension.
  • Mac OS 10.8.5
  • Safari 6.2.2
  • 1Password 4.4.3
  • 1Password Safari Extension 4.2.5
  • No other extension on safari
  • Hardly any other software on my computer since I just reformatted the entire machine

I also noticed that Safari's default settings has CMD + / as a shortcut for View > Show/Hide Status Bar. However, I don't think this is the issue since the shortcut also doesn't work in chrome.

You're using a forward slash. The correct key is the back-slash (near the delete keys).

  • Ha, I love when it is that simple. I guess I changed the shortcut to forward slash and didn't notice when I reinstalled. Thanks for catching my simple mistake.
