Master password does not work anymore

I created a vault with a rather large password (20 letters and 4 digits) that worked very well on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Air for about 3 hours and then it stopped working by not allowing me to
enter all the letters and digits of my password. After I enter 12 letters it stops to accept any more. I can can see the black dots stopping around 12 or so in the password field.
Help please!

Have you tried to force quit 1Password and then restart it?

    Hi @joema9010,

If @hawkmoth's suggestion doesn't help, have you tried simply entering the entire password, even though it doesn't look like it is accepting all the characters? If not, try typing the whole thing to see if it works.

If not, does the same problem happen on both your iPhone and iPad, or just one of them?

"force Quit" not an option on iPhone, iPad. Entering the whole password is an exercise in futility.
    Problem happens in both devices.

I have also deleted the App and reinstalled it on my devices to no avail.

Actually, force quit is an option under iOS. Double click the home button to open the multitask screen and swipe to center 1Password on the screen. Then swipe the application up and off the top of the screen. it will disappear. Then you restart it.

I have suggested this because there is an iOS bug that sometimes causes the far right side of the keyboard to go dead and refuse to register input while you are trying to enter text in the master password field. When that happens to me, the only way to recover is to force quit, as described, and then restart. Others restart their devices, but although that also works, it isn't necessary to regain control.

I thought maybe this might be the cause for your troubles, @joema9010. It's a really annoying bug that Apple has yet to address since the release of iOS 8

If that's not your issue, never mind.

    Hi @joema9010,

As @hawkmoth mentioned, force quitting the 1Password app (as described above) might help if this is being caused by the iOS 8 bug with the keyboard.

If force quitting the app doesn't make any difference, can you please elaborate on this:

Entering the whole password is an exercise in futility.

I previously suggested typing the entire master password even if it looks like it's not accepting all the characters. What happens if you ignore what happens in the Master Password field, and simply type your entire password?
