Can't register my licence

I've requested my licence be re-sent via email as 1 Password is showing "Trial Expired" at the top. When I click on the link, there is no file on my computer to obtain the licence like the pictures show in your instructions. The email sent mentions 1 password 3 but I have already purchased a licence for 1 password 4 so I think I might be being sent the wrong licence attachement. When I click on possible upgrades using the licence key which I had saved (in 1 password of course) it doesn't give me an option to upgrade, I'm guessing because I already have the licence...

Finally found the solution! Logged in through support centre and it recognised my 1pasword 5 family purchase. One click and I was up and running again. Simple! It would be nice if this instruction was easier to find. I only got there by google, not via discussion, knowledgeable and help on here. Please can you explain how I can view the licence key so that I can keep a copy of it in 1 password for the future.

There is no license key any longer. When version 4 was released, the alpha-numeric key was replaced by a license file. I save a copy of mine and an attachment to the record for 1Password in the Software category of 1Password itself.

Good to know you are set now.

    Hi @Deborah Molwuka,

Just to add a bit to @hawkmoth's response, when you added your license file to 1Password, it may have saved a copy of that file in a Software License item. To check that, open 1Password and select the Software Licenses category from the left sidebar, then look for an item for 1Password 4 or 5. That item may have your license file attached to it.

If you need anything else, we're here for you! :)

Actually, that is, in fact, what happened for me when I installed version 5. Before that, I had created my own record for version 4 and attached the file to that.

    Hi @Deborah Molwuka

As you used different email addresses for the two purchases our system didn't twig they were for the same person. I see you've updated the first purchase and I've now merged the two records. This means any time you request your licences to be resent you will receive a single emailing detailing both purchases.

I'm glad you managed to get this resolved even if it took a bit of sleuthing. It shouldn't have been that hard. Hopefully Drew_AG and hawkmoth's suggestions on how to record your licence file (by storing it as an attachment) is a suitable solution. If you have any more questions please do let us know
