How to properly delete older version of 1Password

I've been using 1PW 4.4.3 but 1PW 3.8.22 is still in my Applications folder. Can I simply drag v.3 to the trash? Or, is there a proper (i.e. safer) way to remove this older version. Thanks for your help.

Stephen, will this uninstaller remove ONLY 1P3 and its related files. I do not want 1P4 affected. Or, are you suggesting a TOTAL removal of all 1Password software and then reinstalling 1P4? If so, how is my 1P4 data file restored?
