Copy and paste doesn't work for 1Password master password

Copying and pasting the master password for opening up 1Password 5.0.2 (on my Mac Mini with Yosemite 10.10.1) doesn't seem to work. The master password has to be manually typed in. Since it is a long password, it is very cumbersome to manually type it out. Is this a bug or some other problem?

Also, is there a way to launch 1Password from the Safari browser extension or the Mini Launcher?

    That's odd, my findings don't match yours. I can copy and paste my Master Password in although we wouldn't recommend it as that means it's existed in two other places (whatever program you typed it into and then the clipboard buffer). Are you sure OS X's autocorrect isn't altering your Master Password as you type it elsewhere? Certainly such features are disabled when you type into a Secure Input Event field like the one we use for entering your Master Password while autocorrect will be applied in pretty much every other program.

    I'm afraid there isn't a way to open the main 1Password window from 1Password mini. Can I ask what you're goal is, we may be able to offer an alternative that might work for you.

    Yes, you can open the main 1PW app from 1PW mini by clicking the gear icon on the upper right in the mini window and selecting "Open 1Password"

    What I found was that copy and paste for the Master Password doesn't work with 1Password Mini but copy and paste does work for opening the application itself. Also, as oshioel says above, the 1PW Mini can be opened from the gear. Thank you to those helping.

    I didn't think to check 1Password mini originally but I've gone back and checked it just now. I still can't explain why it doesn't for you but I can paste into both the main lock window and the mini lock window - very strange.

    I stand corrected regarding opening the main window, thank you @oshloel‌
