I am having a fair bit of trouble syncing my 1password on my home mac to the rest of my devices. My other devices sync fine, it's just my home mac that has trouble.

What I've tried so far

  1. I switched all my devices from dropbox sync to icloud sync.
  2. I followed this guide to delete my icloud and resync: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac-kb/5/en/topic/icloud-sync-checklist-cloudkit
  3. I followed these instructions found on your forums from @JasperP‌ https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/comment/130039/#Comment_130039 (disabled sync, restarted my devices, setup sync again)
  4. I followed step #2, uninstalled and reinstalled 1password from my home mac. When I opened 1password, my data was there. I synced with iCloud (my work mac was already re

No dice for my home mac.

Details

A. Home Mac (Macbook Air)- Sync Failed

  • Yosemite, Mac OS 10.10.1

  • 1 Password: Version 5.0.2 (502006) Mac App Store

  • I have two vaults on this machine.

  • I originally had a downloaded version of 1password from your store on this machine. I deleted that and only have the app store version.

B. Work Mac (Macbook Air) - Sync Successful

  • Yosemite, Mac OS 10.10.1

  • 1 Password: Version 5.0.2 (502006) Mac App Store

C. iPhone 6 Plus - Sync Successful

  • iOS 8.1.2

  • 1 Password Version 5.1.2

This is fairly frustrating, because 1 depend on this for all my passwords and my work mac has updated my key passwords and I can't login to them from home on my mac.

    Hi @ekraay‌

So just to confirm, you're saying you completely disabled iCloud Sync on all three devices, deleted 1Password's sync data from iCloud, even rebooted the three devices and even after all of that, when you go to re-enable iCloud Sync you still cannot get the MacBook Air to synchronise with the other two devices?

If that is an accurate summary then I'd like you to do the following for me please.

I'd like to ask you to create some Diagnostics Reports, one from each of your devices.

    —Mac—
    https://guides.agilebits.com/kb/1password4/en/topic/diagnostics-report#mac4

    —iOS—
    https://guides.agilebits.com/kb/1password4/en/topic/diagnostics-report#ios4

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

Once you've sent the Report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @ekraay,

Thanks for sending the diagnostics reports! I found your emails and see that someone has replied to you. We'll keep the conversation going via email to avoid complicating things between here and there. Hopefully we'll be able to solve this soon!

This doesn't help those of us that have similar issues!

    Hi @idgoddard,

The reasons can vary considerably and once we take a support issue to email it may mean solution for one person isn't applicable for another.

In this case, as the user in question was requiring Dropbox for secondary vaults anyway they simply went back to using Dropbox exclusively, probably not a lot of use to you.

If you can detail the issue you're experiencing please and we'll do our best to help and if needed, communicate via our ticketing system.

    Edit

I see you also created a new thread. I'm going to close this thread and reply to you in the other one.
