Why did I have to buy another copy for my tablet?

I installed 1password on my tablet a while ago and have been enjoying it. Today I needed to edit a password there but I had to purchase another license in order to do so. The cost was less than $5, so I'm not going bankrupt, but why did I need another license when I use the app on my computer and phone?

    Because that's how that's they license it. Per platform.

    Hi @CharlesLewis! Thanks for getting in touch with us. 1Password is sold per-platform, like RichardPayne mentioned. We feel that gives customers the option to only buy what they need, and keeps costs down.

    However, we do offer a 30 day free trial of 1Password. If you need to change data on a device that you don't normally use 1Password on, you would be able to install it and use the free version to make changes.
