When I sync from my main computer (iMac) should the Master Password be changed also? I have different ones and I would like them to all be the same

@philburt‌ I have moved your post to the 1P for Mac forum where you will get more help. Please tell us how you sync your devices and what versions of 1P you use on each. It would also be good to know the OS version on each device.

Hi @philburt‌ We're working on eliminating a couple of sync related bugs which pertain to this issue. What we recommend at the moment is manually changing each device to ensure they all remain in sync (in terms of the Master Password). The next release will hopefully take care of this if in the future you change your Master Password.

It would be nice to understand how the password management works then; could you explain this in detail? I would expect that the hash of the password is inside what you call the vault, so syncing should automatically update the master password once it was changed on any of the connected devices...

The password should sync but the bugs mean the changed password isn't being picked up properly.

Rather than simply copy and paste or retype a fairly lengthy explanation I'm going to link you to a previous post of mine which you can find here.

If you have any questions please post them here and somebody will do their best to help you out.
