Cannot find license, plus, I have 2 versions of 1Password

I can't find any license for 1Password. I purchased it both from your website and from the iTunes store -- (therefore I have purchased it at least twice, but probably more) -- so I have 1Password and 1Password4. Neither seems to have a license associated with it. When I fill in the email account associated with these, I am told there are no valid licenses associated with that email account. I also don't want two separate versions. The information stored in 1Password is not the same as that stored in 1Password4. That I have both versions is an accident of not understanding what I needed to do to get the app. What should I be using? What is the difference? Can I merge them?

I think we need to take this slowly so please tell us:

    1. Which version you think has your most up to date data.
    2. Whether you sync your 1P data to any iOS device and, if so, what sync method you use.
    3. If you run "1Password" and to to 1P > About 1Password exactly what does it say (ignoring the credits, of course).
    4. If you run "1Password 4" and do the same what does it say?

(Because you may have more than one version of 1P on your Mac it's important than when you want to close one version to check the other you close it using ⌃⌘Q (control + cmd + q)—not just cmd + q.)

Post again with some more information and somebody will help you sort things out.

    Hi @dracling‌

Just to clarify some particular points before we continue:

    • You download 1Password for iOS via the iTunes Store, also known as the App Store if done directly from an iOS device.
    • You can purchase and download 1Password for Mac (MAS) via Apple's Mac App Store, also known as the App Store on OS X.
    • You can purchase and download 1Password for Mac (Web Store) directly from our site.

Now you don't have licences for either the iOS or MAS version as everything is associated with your Apple ID. We have no control over Apple's stores and aren't even informed who are users are - we get told nothing.

If you purchased directly from us you will have been sent an email thanking you for your purchase and it would have included a link for your licence file. If you no longer have that email you can always get your licences resent by submitting the same email address at https://agilebits.com/licenses/resend

Once we determine where you've purchased from we need to know what is in each vault? If you have items spread across the two that you need to keep we will need to export from one and import into the other. We'll need you to let us know what we're dealing with though. If one vault simply holds duplicates of the other then we know we can safely remove it.

Once you get back to us with the details, including what Stephen_C was asking we'll have a much better idea of what is going on.
