1Password and Public WiFi

I travel a lot, mostly with my iOS devices. When staying in a hotel I will log to the hotel wifi. My question is: How safe is it for me to log to 1P while using a hotel/public connection? Some times I need to look information stored in 1P. If the hotel wifi connection was 'compromised' could they access the info in my 1P account?

Thanks

    Hi @EAGLSPRGS‌

I am so glad you are thinking strongly about the security of your data - that's what we like to see!

All of your 1Password data is stored encrypted in 1Password. Even if you unlock your vault with your master password no unencrypted data is leaving your device. Your data is data file is encrypted with an exceedingly secure encryption algorithm called AES. Even if someone were to acquire a copy of your 1Password data file, it would be extremely difficult (approaching impossible in a human lifetime) for them to actually gain access to your passwords without your Master Password.

In case you are syncing your data via iCloud, Dropbox or Wifi - rest assured we encrypt all your data with your master password on your iOS device before syncing.
