Upgrade of existing 1Password
I have purchased 1Password in the past but didn't keep up with teh upgrades. I am presently running Version 3.5.4 (build 30852). When I select check for upgrades, it downloads 1Password3 for teh MAC, but an error occurs every time the file tries to extract. What do I need to do to get up to date with the latest version?

Hi @Raptor22,
What version of Mac OS are you running? If you're using OS 10.6 or higher, you should be able to use 1Password 3.8.22 (the most recent update for version 3). On the other hand, if you're using OS 10.5, then you're already using the latest update of 1Password 3 that will work on your Mac (which could explain why you're getting an error extracting the updated copy).
You can find links for the correct version of 1Password 3 on this page.
Does that help?

Using Yosemite 10.10.1. I downloaded 1Password 5 and that seems to be working. Is that an issue?

Hi @Raptor22,
With Yosemite, 1Password 5 is your best choice, as it was designed to work smoothly (and look lovely) in the newly designed operating system. If you snagged 1Password 5 from our downloads page, you're likely using a free 30-day trial. Because you're updating from 1Password 3 to 1Password 5, you will have to pay to upgrade your license if you decide that you're happy with 1Password's behaviour. As a 1Password user, you are entitled to a nice discount though. Please enter your existing license information on our upgrade page to see your available discount!
I hope this helps, but we're here if you have any further questions. :)
