family vs single license

Hi,
We currently have to upgrade our 1password on our macs due to upgrading to Yosemite. We have it on two macs paid for, and one of my sons started his trial of 1password yesterday. We would like to put it on our four macs plus on our four iPhones and iPads. We can't find if we need a single license or a family license and what the differences are in features and cost. Please advise.
Thanks

If you purchase directly from AgileBits, a single user license permits installation on all the Macs of up to six family members in the same household. This licensing replaced the family license that was offered before version 5 was released. This brings the single user license terms into alignment with Family Sharing from the Mac App Store, which will let you install the application on as many as six family members who are in the same family group. If you take that route, all users will need to use the same credit card for purchases. Note that if iCloud syncing is important to you, you must buy directly from Apple. The AgileBits web store version has been shut out of that by Apple.

For your iOS devices running iOS 8, the application is now free in its basic form, so all of your family members can use that version. There is an in-app purchase available to unlock more advanced Pro features. They will be unlocked automatically for registered users of version 4 for iOS, but Apple did not extend Family Sharing to in-app purchases. Each user will have to purchases them separately for $9.99, unless all users share the same Apple ID for purchases from the iTunes app store.
