1Password login in Mac applications
Hi guys,
Is it possible to have 1Password automatically enter my passwords in Mac applications?
I would like to just press cmd-\ when opening Evernote, iTunes, Mac App Store, Skype, Dropbox etc instead of having to copy the password from 1Password and paste it into the application itself.
This would be a great addition to 1Password for Mac.

Alas, No. It only works through web browsers, and it can't supply credentials to applications. On the iOS side, some application are supported like this, but only if the application developer adds special code to allow 1Password to talk to it.

Lots of us agree with that.

Perhaps this can be done via a TextExpander plugin?

Hi @pmcarrion,
We do have an open request for filling into applications that our developers are considering. However, when it will happen is unclear, as there are many security concerns with auto-fill into Mac apps. That said, I'll add your vote for this feature!
Tip: Pressing ⇧⌘C will copy the password of the selected login in mini. That might be a bit quicker than clicking the password field. :)
