Charged twice and I don't use this app anymore. [resolving through private message, email follow-up]

I tried to use this app twice but was confused and did not like it. I used 2 emails because I wanted to give it a 2nd chance. Now I was charged for $24.99 two times on my debit card. I do not use the app but also can not log in. I need to stop being charged and cancel these 2 accounts. I still get newsletters on iCloud account but I can't login on either account don't know how this got my debit card number and how I got charged $24.99 twice. I had to create a new account with the same email just to post here.

    On the assumption you are talking about 1P for iOS and not 1P for Mac you can only have bought from the app store. AgileBits has no control over that and no details of purchases from it so I'm afraid it's a matter you're going to have to take up with Apple. To be quite clear, this is a problem with Apple, not with AgileBits.

    You are correct, sorry it is for IOS.
    The App Store uses a c/card for purchases.
    I have 2 debit card transactions from AGILEBITS.
    They are listed as POS debit transactions.

    Your transaction was through the App Store—notwithstanding that the debits show AgileBits. I have an iTunes receipt for recent apps purchased: the receipt always shows the name of the developer.

    Sorry ,but this really is an issue you have to pursue with Apple.

    I do not understand how apple charged my debit card and not the credit card that is linked to the app store. So I guess no matter what I'm out $50
    and AGILEBITS got its share. So poor me I guess, AGILEBITS & apple still get paid. Again, my debit was charged. I checked my credit card and app store
    and did not see any charges. I guess nothing will happen since AGILEBITS is in canada.

    It's worth taking this up with Apple. I expect they will refund one of the purchases at the least. The iOS App Store does have online chat support. You might give it a try.

    I'm sorry you have some confusing charges to your debit card! I must confess that I'm a little confused myself. If those charges were for 1Password for iOS, you should have received an email receipt for each purchase, and those email receipts would have been from Apple / iTunes. Did you receive anything like that?

    I'm not sure why there would be two different charges. 1Password 5 for iOS is a free app with free basic features, and there is an option to buy Pro Features for a one-time in-app purchase. It shouldn't be possible to make that purchase twice, unless you made the second one while signed in the App Store with a different Apple ID. But as mentioned earlier, purchases from the App Store are made through Apple, and we don't receive any customer purchase information from Apple so we have no way of checking that. If these were indeed purchases from the App Store, you would need to contact Apple about that.

    Just in case you had made purchases from our own web store (which would have been for the Mac or Windows version of 1Password), I searched in our system for the email address associated with your forum account. However, I didn't find any purchases listed for that email address. If you think you might have made purchases from our web store using a different email address, please send me a private message to let me know, and I'll be happy to search for it in our system.

    Or if you're able to clear up the confusion with Apple, we'd be interested to hear back from you with the details. Thanks!
