1Password Browser
I'm using 1Password on iPhone 6+ 8.1.2 plus latest version of 1password (paid) - not sure how to find the version number
I have two problems with the browser:
- I am unable to type in to a message text field, e.g. like this on the forum. When I tap on the message field nothing happens, no cursor - no keyboard appears
- The browser seems to only work in portrait mode, it does not reorientate when I try to view landscape.
I purchased the pro version of 1password hoping this would solve these issues, but it doesn't.
I was also hoping I would be able to use 1password in Safari on ios (as I do on my desktop imac as there is a 1password plugin). Is this possible with the ios version?
Thanks

Are you using any third party keyboard on your phone?

Yes. Take a look at this knowledge base article about the 1P extension to see how to do it.
Sorry that I can't answer your other question about the 1P browser in landscape mode. I'm sure someone else will come along soon with a response but I thought in the meantime this post might be of some help.

"Are you using any third party keyboard on your phone?"
No I just rely on the iPhone keyboard that would normally appear when typing a reply.
BTW, how do you get this forum to include quotes, as you did in the post above?
Thanks for the Safari tip, however there are some issues there:
- Every time I click on 1password it makes me put in the master password, is there a way to set it to not need that for a certain length of time (as on the desktop version)
- When I click on 1password, it then takes me to the icon for the current website page in safari, but when I click on the icon it just goues back to the site but does not log me in

Hi @MrLucky,
Are you still having trouble typing in text fields in websites from 1Browser (the built-in browser in 1Password)? Does that only happen with these forums, or also other sites where you need to enter text? What about if you need to type a username or password in a login form? (1Password should be able to do that for you of course, but I'm just curious as it might help figure out the problem.) Also, I'm assuming everything is ok with using the keyboard in other parts of the 1Password app, like editing a Login item, Secure Note, etc?
BTW, how do you get this forum to include quotes, as you did in the post above?
When typing a message in these forums, there's a "Format" button above the message field which has a few options, including one for Quote. You can copy/paste text from another message into your own, highlight that text, and choose the Quote formatting option.
- Every time I click on 1password it makes me put in the master password, is there a way to set it to not need that for a certain length of time (as on the desktop version)
To make a long story short, this will happen if you aren't using the Touch ID or PIN Code option in the 1Password settings. Our developers are hoping to improve this in the future. For now, if you don't want to have to enter your master password each time you use the extension in Safari, you'll need to enable the Touch ID option in 1Password.
- When I click on 1password, it then takes me to the icon for the current website page in safari, but when I click on the icon it just goues back to the site but does not log me in
To make sure I understand, you open the site first and see the login form, then use the extension and select your Login item for that site, but your username & password aren't filled in the form? If that's the problem, does this happen with every site you try to log into using the 1Password extension, or just one specific site? What is the exact URL for the site where it won't work?
