Password not being passed to field properly with 1Password browser

I have some websites that I access using 1Password and the built in browser, but the password value does not get passed properly to the password field. What appears to happen is that the password value gets written multiple times (you can see the thing if data being entered automatically, then wiped and replaced with new "***" values, then wiped and replaced a 3rd time. The data string length varies each time - it is not a consistent length). The end result is an error from the web page that the password is incorrect, requiring me to manually enter the correct password to get logged in. I have checked the information page in 1Password for this log in, and confirmed that there is only one password value and that it is the correct one.

Also, I use 1Password for Mac as well and have 1Password synced between the Mac and my iOS device. I have confirmed that the same values are consistent on my mac as it is on my iOS device for these log ins. This log in process works correctly using 1Password on my Mac, but continues to have the same issues with the password value when login is attempted through the iOS device.

Last point. I have other logins that I have set up and regularly use with 1Password on my iOS device that work correctly, as expected. But I have some logins that continue to experience this issue with the password entered in to the web site field.

Anyone else experience this? Any thoughts or suggestions to share?

Thanks

Hi @tttma69, welcome to the forums!

I'm sorry you're having a problem with some of your Login items not filling the websites correctly on iOS. Were those Logins created in 1Password on your Mac or on your iOS device? It sounds like this problem is happening in the built-in browser in 1Password - have you also tried it in Safari for iOS, using the 1Password extension?

It may help to try manually saving a new Login item for one of those sites by following these steps:

    • On your iOS device, open 1Password and go to Categories > Logins.
    • Tap the button to create a new Login item.
    • Enter a title for the new Login (make sure it is different from the old Login so you can easily tell them apart).
    • Enter your credentials in the username and password fields.
    • Enter the URL in the website field.
    • Tap Done.
    • Go back to Categories > Logins and select the new Login you just created.
    • Tap the URL to open it in 1Browser.
    • If the username and password aren't automatically filled in, tap the key icon and select the new Login item, which should be listed at the top.

    Does that make any difference?
